If you were, I'd decide on a barrel diameter and get a bucket or something slightly smaller in diameter. Cut the bottom out of the bucket and place that over your pumpkin while it grows. That ways, it'll be shaped more like a cylinder as opposed to a well ...

Wow, I drew up some plans to make a pressure activated mine as well but I haden't had the time to actually make it. I also made some plans for a trip mine too. When I get back to my workshop I'll see what I can do to make one!

I like to use a barracuda that has basically been filleted and I throw out chunks of the fillet as bait. I just tie the carcass off the back of the boat with a clamp. You'd be surprised how well that works.
