Welcome to the USA!

We love Kiwi.... And I bet alot of people think you are a brit (so many cant tell the difference between a brit, aus, and NZ Accent...although truthfully i wouldn't be able to tell between a NZ and a AUS).

Cheap PVC lathe Ideas?

Anybody have any cheap lathe ideas? I would like to make a simple lathe to turn some pipe at a few RPMs to cut end bevel ends. I was thinking about making a double roller using Casters with and a motor that would run a tire or something on a motor to turn the pipe.

Anybody ever make anything like ...

I work for a large lansdcaping company, and we get out pipe in 20' lengths....at the end of one end is always a bell. I like the belled end because its just one less solvent weld to possibly fail! Pipe is Certified 220PSI.... I know my stuff when it comes to pressure rating...next one will be with ...

52x4" chamber

Yeah yeah I know i need to paint it!! I just got it to the state of firing.

ALL Parts are pressure rated. Lowest PSI rated part is the chamber at 220Psi.

Solvent welds are sloppy because i wanted to make sure i had it good!

Valve is a 2" Ranbird PEB. (work for a landscape company ...

Our hobby straddles a very thin line in the eyes of many. What we are tying to avoid here is any more possible negative publicity, so we can have fun with our hobby in peace and safety!

PEB is a valve model made by rainbird. Its a great valve and can flow a crap load of air. Hold PSI well, and the shell is strong!

I love it, but i just need to be able to dump my pilot air a lil faster!

The PEB is a fiber poly type valve...so solvent welding wont work. I suggest using a Sch80 nipple on the chamber side.

I am using the same valve, and its awsome! I use a 1/4 ball valve now, but i think i am going to get a 3/4 orbit and make a electronic trigger!

You could also cut the 2" SCH 80 length in half, and then solvent weld a coupler on one of the lengths of 2" SCH 80. Push the two together over the SDR-21, and then solvent weld the two pieces together at the center.

I think i might do that, but use a 2x1/2 Tee. Want to devise a way to tension ...
wait, so it blew when you only sealed it with your hand?
Yup! Its happened in different temperatures, ans has only blown above ground portions of pipe.

I think we still have a piece of one that blew right by a workers hand and hurt him...might take a picture of it.
