Wow, way to dig up an old post :) But yeah, the rating is around 150 psi but it can take a lot more. 600 psi firings and there is no visible damage to the piston face or anything :) I don't post much here anymore, moved onto bigger things, mainly building PCP airguns with operating pressures of 200-...

So they are angular holes? my vote it to try and file a flat so that the bit has a much more even surface to start on.

High RPM's and light feeds.

Also, just grab yourself a centre drill. They are really stubby and don't flex like drill bits do.

Yeah that's fine, but there was a post earlier saying that the fill valve from a lighter wouldn't be suitable for a spudgun because it is typically used in low pressure. And I highlighted the fact that scraders are mass used and designed for a low pressure application but can be used in a spudgun. I...

You are correct, however they were BUILT for the automotive industry for use in car tyres.

The clamp through schraders are used in tubeless tyres.

Yes, they have no restrictions

They will definatley handle the same pressure and seem to be better built than the fastneal type

I have a spare 3/4" European QEV that I would sell......

I am aware of those things regarding the structure, however, from the QEV's that I use, the thicknesses are the same between the 1/2" and 3/4"

I am only going by my experiance

I have used my 3/4" QEV at 600 psi frequently and held up fine.

Remember smaller QEV, the more pressure it shall theoretically withstand.

Good luck with the build

If I was you, I would just go with a burst disk design and use the steel chamber. It should be much quicker to build and allow the higher mixes that you were looking for. Seeing as though the aluminium is the weak part, removing it from the mix will increase your maximum pressures. I would say that,...

Well..... up to the size that the launcher could effectivley launch the Chrony with its muzzle blast, my statement stands.

Maybe it is dirt/debris from your launcher or projectile that would cause a false reading. A piece of potato would definatley be recognised by the lights.

Well, I have a neigbour either side of my 20 yards wide garden :D They are actually GREAT. They do put up with a lot of my noise Results are in: Basically, there were no readings at all from the chrony or errors even up to 1" away from the first sensor. It is a cold day today and there is a much mor...

I would be happy to, im using a Silencer/Moderator/Suppressor. But it isn't the best, it was cheap but it looked cool :D

I won't do it without the silencer because of neigbours :D

Sorry for the double post but kinda relevant :D

Well, here is the long awaited proof :P

Note that I stuck the BB into the tip of the valve. There is a sharp edge there and it holds the BB so it doesnt roll down the barrel
