Infernal Maveric u don't need 2900 psi - try with 1200 psi You can get that speed (1500 fps) with 1200 psi - at least according to GGDT. U don't need 0.5 inch barrel at all - an airsoft barrel would be enough for such light projectile. It shows 800 m/s with burst disc at 1200 psi.... > 2 mach :shock...

I suggest you to use smaller pressures - 2900 psi gun is going to be pricey... 1000 psi would give you decent power and it would be much easier to build - u could use regular steel pipes. Also finding valves would be easier and you could use CO2. I know its not the answer you wanted to get - but put...

bluerussetboy... this thing is for small chambers/high pressures - like 100 cm3. It takes some time to pump 4 car tires even with a foot pump - tires have much greater volume than most spudguns... hmm here poland I can buy them for 30 PLN, which is more less 15$. yes they are generally the first and...

A guesstimate - 1.27 cm X 150 cm chamber to 250 psi in about 80 seconds - I would say that its flow is similar to a bike pump - only that it doesn't slow down when the pressure rises... so it no good for a bbmg. It can pump to high pressure but flow is lower. ahhh i forgot to add --->I advise to use...

My compressor, 300 psi and more (..... much more :-D )
The fridge compressor is a refrigeration compressor adapted as an air compressor. While most shop compressors can reach up to 120 psi this thing can reach up to 500 psi and more. How to build one: 1. First of all, this thing is basically a part of a fridge - it is a pump that pumps freon gas (newer ...

it's good to improve performance but to some point... after reaching that point it is like ->>> 20% more power = 40% bigger gun, 100% slower/more difficult to operate and 150% more money spent on it.... HEAL is really nice, well designed and build - it is portable, looks like a 'real' firearm ( well...

Why do you want to improve HEAL's performance? seems ok as it is..... don't get me wrong but there would always be someone who will build a more powerful spudgun than yours. Why don't you try to improve something else? Like accuracy or try to make it semi or auto? might be easier to do than building ...

yes sorry. They didn't write here about its diam. Anyway this --> http://www.gewa.com.pl/page.php?d=kulki1wymiary seems quite accurate for steel. Any idea how to get the weight of lead balls of given diameter with the use of this table ? Does (lead density/steel density) * mass of steel ball in the ...

3" big is more like 1.8 kg.... but anyway I don't think it makes sense to fire a 1.4 kg steel ball at almost point blank range :D casting it from lead would be much better idea for your gun DYI - lead is denser than steel and it would deform more on impact... Do think about reducing chance of...

I was planing to put my hop-up in the breech (not in the muzzle part of the barrel) - so that it would start spinning form the very begining. I am just guessing - if my barrel has ID of 12.7 mm, balls have 12 mm, a 0.1 - 0.3 mm thick and 10 cm long piece of insulation tape placed on the upper inside...

ball bearings
I am planing to use 1/2" or 12mm ball bearings as ammo. I know one place that have them in almost any posible size and quite cheap as well. 1.My question is... Has any one tried using them as ammo, with what results? 2.Does the magnus effect noticably affects their accuracy? 3.Would a few cm's of in...
