Hello again, I have been out of the hobby for awhile now with a new hobby taking most of my time. but I blew the cobwebs off the old potato gun and I wanted to finally show you all now that it is done. Just a reminder you can get sch 40 pressure rated parts at any ace hardware store up to 4". I built my 4" coaxil from parts at work (I'm a manager of a Ace store) and all parts on the gun are pressure rated. I fire it all the time at 130 psi. If for some reason they don't stock them they can order t...

Thanks for all of the help everyone! My last (hopefully) question for this build, can I build a stand for this thing out of PVC? Or is the recoil too much for it to hold? I plan on an overall length of about 8-10 feet. It can be done. here is a picture of my coaxil on a PVC stand. It is more than s...

I made a hybrid with a flat plate at one end of the chamber. I am not a math wizz nor am I an engineer, so I used a software program to calculate the yield for me. If noone gives you equations, I will run the numbers through my program for you if you want. My hybrid has not exploded yet btw :D Than...

Formula for burst pressure of a flat plate or sheet.
I am looking for the formula for burst pressure of steel and aluminum flat plate. I am trying to figure some different burst disks and end plates for my new gun I am building.

wow. you hardly get refills for $5 any more. Oh, if you do decide to play with balloons, remember that they float. Toilet paper makes a nifty delay mechanism, as long as you are not in a drought, or the middle of a city.   The CO2 tanks actually have burst disks in them ...

And how do you have a 1800PSI CO2 tank? is your co2 tank actually rated for burst pressure? Sorry it took so long to get back. There is alot of good ideas there I will look into. I tried to take a picture of the bottle but my camera could not focus. Here is the info on the bottle. TC3ALM/DOT-3AL 12...

Wow had a lot of replies wile I was gone. I think I will stick to the set up I have now and just add a few more plates. I am thinking of trying to use this to fuel my small hybrid. My idea is to put enough MAPP in for a 1X mix and then add the HHO. This way I get a perfect mixture every time. My qu...
