Havent seen many chuckes attached directly to the motor, any problems with that? Im thinking of using a drill chuck and just putting a bolt into the end of what ever I want to turn.

Like Gun Freak im in the process of designing a lathe. Mine is only going to turn HPDE, Wood, and possible PVC. Any suggestions on a motor, prefarably one that the pulleys can be a 1 to 1 ratio, Im not really looking for variable speed. The frame is just going to be 2x4's, with hopefull room to turn...

MrCrowley, isnt posting instructables like that, likely to get you sued? Eventually some kid is going to make a GB gun from DWV and cell core pipe, and their lawyer cousin is going to decide that you should be sued.

Ive always bought craftsman products and had good luck. Id read all reviews for whatever compressor you are looking at, you may want to go a bit higher but that one works well for me.

I dont really think its a waste of time since if someone doesnt want to be part of it, they dont have to, if their quote is submitted and wins, they dont have to post it as a sig. But about people who cant afford a sig, I would just let them have the honor of winning, maybe make a list of the winner...

Anybody else into trebuchets. Not quite the boom of spudguns but theres nothing like seeing a 8 foot arm swing a 4 foot sling with a 100 pound counter weight.

I agree with the pneumatic idea. For airsoft, you want low power, so their is no reason to use the high pressures associated with hybrids. For what you want, a pneumatic will be much easier to build operate, refill, and use in general. It will be safer. Their is really no positive aspect to using a ...
