Thanks, do you think Im better of just having one machined from aluminum, the issue with that is the smallest bolt I can find to hold down the sealing face is bigger than what it is sealing against. Im afraid that if I sanded down the bolt, the face would detach itself from the piston.

I did that in my pen gun, but it wasnt airtight and it would be a pain to cut a 1 inch thick piston thats going to go in a 1/2 piston housing.

Has anyone here had experience turning solid rubber. I was thinking for a small bore piston hybrid it could make a decent piston.

I dont think silly putty would work, from what I heard, if it experiences sudden impact, it will shatter.

I think any work that has not been posted should be allowed, and if we decided to do the best all around cannon that hasnt been posted, the deadline should not be for at least a couple months. Maybe the deadline could be midnight december 31, 2011. Oh sure, then noone will be around to see who won ...

I agree with the above, maybe a contest for just the all around best cannon, chosen on looks, power, function, innovation. Then in that contest maybe two categories, machined and off the self parts.

Nice bearded dragons. What morph are they? BTW they are lizards, they are in the agamidae family. Nice cannon too.

With only a hand pump, your best bet is a hammer valve, like said before shockys take so long to pump up larger chambers, you will only get few shots from the tank.

Looks good, good asthetics and power. Do you happen to have a picture of the stem section of the valve?
