The base is a breech loader that accepts single shells. This allows for a light, compact launcher that can be converted back and forth depending on the scenario. I figured that people could get in on the base and then upgrade to the semi version later if they weren't ready to spring for the entire c...

look at the webley-fosberry automatic revolver for help in design. Sorry about not being more helpful, but you can check out the prototype pics at http://www.eclipselauncher.com for some ideas.

I would guess the liability insurance they need to carry must run the price up. They do seem a little steep regardless.

I am designing a new repellent round for the company featured on that show. They had issues with the MarsSars launcher, but it is still a nice launcher in general. They want to use my Eclipse semi auto for the same purpose. When I sent the prototype to Bimini it was seized by the ministry of defense...

5 years since I started, two years construction of latest designs. I was touring with Queensryche for three of those years and it took away from my actual development time. The provisional covers the entire launcher, but the utilities will most likely be on the reloading mechanism, the bore sight, t...

Are you in the U.S. or from Hamsterdam?

I could offer some parts in trade if you would be willing to build one of your semis to fire my 40mm rounds. I have pressure chambers and shells ready to go.

hahahahahahaha ha! That was the funniest thing I heard all day! I just got done moving 400ft of 40mm aluminum tube in a truck for shells and barrels to be cut from and now I just realized that I will have a truckload of 15", 18", and 600 6" shells. Hey, I could lay those shells five across with that...

Well, I was trying to show these off without sounding like an advertisement. These first ones are marked for the launchers themselves, but I will be making thousands and was just curious what homebuilders would think of them. The tensile strength calculation I did at 400psi had around a 10:1 safety ...

40mm aluminum shells

Here are the shells that will be used on the Eclipse launcher. I just had 600 of these made up. They are 6 inches long with a maximum OD of 1.772 inches, turned down across the center 4 inches by 1/32 of an inch. They weigh in at 3.81 oz apiece. Since 40mm (i.e. 1.575 inches) is the spec for sch 40 ...

The Eclipse launcher was recently reversed engineered into Solidworks which is a volumetric modeler. Soon we will have some simulations rendered out that will show it's operation and teardown. I have used Lightwave for years and have made some models of launchers with it as well. I will dig up what ...

I have heard that it is illegal to place a spring loaded firing pin behind 40mm tubing in the U.S. . M203 airsoft clones get around this by using a levered pin that dislodges a springed mechanism inside the pre-charged cartridge.
