Re: Aluminum cylinder for Eclipse

Lol. Don't exactly have an answer for you Jack. Should only be a few hundred each in production. It solves the thermal issues and will increase the operating pressures.

Aluminum cylinder for Eclipse

Finally got a metal solution for the cylinder in the Eclipse. This weighs two ounces less than the acetal one with lightening holes. It was made on a mill in three pieces then bolted together and finished on the fourth axis to cut the cam. http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b12/solararis/026b9214-5e1...

Re: Pressure Amplifier Spud Launcher?

What about efficiency benefits regarding the difference between decanted air and the volume of air pressure created from a metered combustable source? I think the old Tippmann paintball gun that used propane claimed something like 3000 shots from a single bottle. https://www.google.com/search?q=tipp...

The derringer is a workof art, even for a modest genius. I really like that it is a coax.

Welcome

Great that you are closer. Perhaps we can meet someday soon. Things are looking up for Eclipse and I will likely be in Canada soon promoting at defense shows. Where exactly did you wind up?

The fireworks systems at Disney use air cylinders to adjust the angle and direction as well. Very nice.
