You can use a ordanary household sieve as a flame catcher. It worked for me.

here is a basic design of a ram jet engine. It has been drawn up useing info that i have got over the last 3 years while working on my own one. A flame cather reduces the speed of the airflow enough to sustain combustion. Parafin as a fuel also works well, most turbine helicopters run on the stuff. ...

Do you have a flame catcher in the jet?
If not add one, it will prevent the flame from going out.
Ram jets not only need a high velocities of air passing through them. They also need to be "warmed up" This aids the combustion of fuels.

For intrest could you also add a picture of the jet?

I see no problem with Spark plug wires. They permanently carry high voltage loads. id say go for it

aah, haha jup south african(we use spud guns as self defence in these parts, non lethal toys that can kill you).

He just used to travel alot to the us and has been into most of the states, yes akrkansas.
Are those southeners hillbillys?

I heard from my uncle that spud guns are ilegal in the state of arkensaw(spelling)

Can anybody help me with this. It just seems strange as they allowed in the rest of the us, Or am i mistaken again?
