Re: Short question topic
That looks nice, so it's just {schrader cap > epoxy and o-ring > 1/8" fitting} inside of the tube? What type of valve is that attached to the regulator? Thanks.

Re: Short question topic
would like to know if it's brittle or if it has decent strength. Is it to hold pressure? Yes, I need the coupling to join a paintball tank to a schrader hose so I can use the tank as a remote air source. My plan was two use a small length of 3/8" copper pipe and fill the inside with polymorph, the ...

Re: Short question topic
Anyone ever used Polymorph? I need to make a coupling for two different threads and would like to know if it's brittle or if it has decent strength.

Re: [WIP] Triggered Ball Valve Musket
Thanks Hectmarr. I already knows it shoots great, but it will shoot even better with a proper trigger mechanism and something to kick the valve open. This is a car seat support frame I'm cutting some of the parts from, including the lock plate. http://i.imgur.com/xKfN6Dz.jpg The section that is to b...

Re: [WIP] Triggered Ball Valve Musket
Thanks Jack, yes, the inspiration is boundless with all of the unique designs of airguns and flintlocks of that time. I think it's a funny coincidence that the action of the flintlock design seems to be perfectly adaptable to a ball valve opening mechanism. Got this nice little high-pressure gauge I...

Re: BFG #7
Honestly this beast makes me think of some sort of experimental german rail gun with all the bright steel. The machine-work is on another level as far as what I've seen around here. Just love the design of that bb magazine and the follower.

Re: [WIP] Triggered Ball Valve Musket
Things are starting to slowly move onward again, I put the project on the shelf for half a year, but now I've got all the parts I need and I'm optimistically hoping to get this functionally finished by June. Here's layout of the mechanism and chamber. Stock is in blue, lock is red (lighter red is in...

Re: Pneumatic potato acceleration unit
Is there any easy way of testing how powerful it is? Normally you'd need a chronograph but you'd also need a spare hundred quid Here's a way to measure velocity without a chrony that in many cases will give you reasonable accuracy. There is also a smartphone app that automatically does what you'd n...

Re: A Review/Reference on CO2 Tire Inflators
Testing the 20gram cratridge now, this thing puts out a lot of PSI very fast, like over 400PSI in .25 seconds, scary fast. The reason I mention the leak thing is because people in the biking community suggest that you re-inflate your tire with normal air after using a co2 inflator because CO2 will s...

Re: A Review/Reference on CO2 Tire Inflators
One thing to be aware of with CO2 is that filling orientation makes a difference. Specifically, since it is a liquid at high pressure, allowing the liquid to flow from the inflator to the chamber by gravity will give you a lot more energy than simply filling with gas. Hmm, I will have to try this, ...

A Review/Reference on CO2 Tire Inflators
I was frustrated with the lack of information on co2 tire inflators for airgun use so this thread is more of a reference for that subject than it is an actual review. Perhaps other spudders who are looking for info on these as an energy source will search and find this and not be as frustrated with ...

Re: Anyone Here Tried This Shock Pump?
Has anyone used this one? Yes, i got it off ebay a few months ago. I only used it 5 or 6 times. It works fine and it will pump 600 PSI, but if you got a big tank it will take ages. I would say , if your tank is up to 150cc, get it. other wise, i got this - I had to lube it with silicone grease, and...

Re: Old, Broken, & Missing Parts Airsoft Rifle
Hate to say it but it looks to be properly FUBAR. Even if you did fix the broken sear piece you'd still be short an inner barrel and a fore end/outer barrel to house that barrel inside. Typically AEGs and gas guns have some replacement parts available online, but not springers.
