I've used a 1/4" QEV to pilot a 3/4" QEV, if you can get them cheap then go for it. I have a blowgun piloting the 1/4" QEV, which is probably overkill for that even. I imagine a hammer valve would work with the 1/4" QEV.

I wouldn't have thought so, the output is a high voltage sparker. Seeing as it's supposed to run off 2 AAs/AAAs, I would've thought it'd regulate the current and not the voltage.

Just tried it with four AAs wired in series with an 8mm spark gap...GODDAMN it's loud. Far louder than my 100kV stungun ever was, this thing is violent.
