So here's a question, has anyone experimented with a hop-up system for golf balls?

My concern is that, if the ball is spinning in an unpredictable way coming out of the barrel, it'll slice/hook unpredictably...

Any thoughts?

Updated my post above with more pictures. Entry number one baby! (Although I did get a rather good head start. :P ) Any specific type of launcher? Pneumatic? Combustion? Any type. Combustion just lends itself to ghetto-ness better, so that's what I did. The last ghetto contest was won by one of Joe...

Hmm, yeah, I figure it'll travel about 1", haven't hammered that out yet. Think I've got a decent bumper plan too... Details later.

So, seeing as I nearly split my thumb in half like an overcooked bratwurst today, I am just thinking about the design of the coax I'm making. It's a 2" sch 40 outer chamber with a 1" sch 40 barrel. It turns out, 1.5" ABS test caps (the Really thin, brightly coloured flimsy ones) are a pretty good fi...

Man, I'd so be in. Good idea

Don't think I'll be touching a power tool for a while though...

Looking forward to seeing some crappy (read: awesome) entries!

Yeah, usually UV LED flashlights pump out a decent amount in the 375-390 nm range. Just flirting with visible. Perfect for phosphorescent and photoluminescent pigment though.

Eh, they don't work so well. Phosphorescent pigments are charged by a specific chunk of the light spectrum. Specifically, long wave UV. Green light is neutral, red works against the charging effect. Sunlight is normally the best, white incandescent light bulbs and fluorescent bulbs work pretty well ...

I doubt this is what anyone had in mind, but, I got a set of Chroma 301 kitchen knives that are awesome. Sharp enough to shave with (saying something, I go through 3 or 4 razors some weeks).

Also got a KA-BAR.

Gonna order up a ghurka kukhuri from Neap soon.

Just to randomly add to the conversation:

I've got a 3racing F109 with full graphite chassis conversion and a bunch of aluminium hop ups.

Still need to go brushless and lipo with it though

This has probably been done before, but... I just ordered 576 glow in the dark rubber balls, 27mm diameter. Also got a bunch of 5mm UV LEDs, so I'm going to make a container with a few of those shining in on the walls, rechargeable battery powered, so when I go shooting at night I'll have a steady s...

Nope, a friend of mines, haha.

He has no time for spud guns. Combination of a lack of interest in building shit, a lot of money and a penchant for real fire arms.

Fuck I drink too much sometimes. Tonight included. Yamroll out. :puke:

SIGG/Laken water bottles - EDIT - Nevermind, sorry.

Forgive me if this has been covered, I searched and didn't see any info on this one. Anyone have ideas as to the pressure tolerance of SIGG or Laken aluminum (or whatever metal they're made of) water bottles? The reusable ones. I'm just curious, I've seen a few cannons using them and they seem like ...
