The wire on old motors or transformers is usually glued together to ensure that it doesn't unravel.

If the wire weren't insulated, you'd just have a rather hefty join in the circuit..

This wouldn't work as an electrolysis machine anyway..You need and electrolyte (salt) in order to transfer ions.

Don't use Electrolyte Capacitors for pulses!

Use Polypropelene, they're the only type that will work for a long time without fatigue.

On the contrary..

A very small hole from side to the other. Only through a small amount of skin, but a hole none-the-less.

It was right next to the Cambridge Museum of Technology. http://www.cam.net.uk/home/steam/ That's a Wimshurst Generator, it creates an electrostatic charge by rubbing two Acrylic discs against eachother. He's attempting to introduce electrons onto the two discs by creating a negative charge on the p...

It shoild cost a further £150 ($300) or so to finish..Most expensive components are the capacitors. Ridiculously expensive, even by eBay standards.

Anyway, I've been thinking about money and how irrelevant cannons are in the world. I need to save up for a car and shizz. So..This is Max signing off fo...

1) Usually only in higher pressures in order to break the speed of sound more easily, but yes. 2) No, pressure is also a factor in the power of an airgun aswell as the speed of the opening of the valve. 3) It depends on pressure. A ball valve cannon running at 300psi will be more powerful than a pis...

Not really, it was the cheapest option.

£30 ($60) for both the male and female parts. Aluminium ones that is.

@D_Hall: Indeed. Although if I do eventually use Aluminium Foil, I will need like 200 hundred layers to take up to 100psi and not burst.
