how is it leaking? can you get it up to a pressure of like 30 psi and still leak?
pilot hole to small? maybe try some silicon grease?

Well, if you've got a reason to own one, then there's no issue - but I can't agree with twizi who seems to think that that someone should have a .50 rifle just for the sake of owning one. They're expensive, large and heavy - not things you should lumber yourself with if you don't need it. well then...

Another "trick", is to drill the hole out to a larger size and epoxy or glue a length of dowel into the hole. When cured/dry simply drill a pilot hole for your screw and install as normal. yeah an alternator is pointless with an electric motor. you could add a bank of capacitors to that when you roll to a stop it "charges" the capacitors and lets you have that extra energy to start moving again.
