Re: Why do nerf darts fly straight?
Section density. Head heavy with light tail. Will fly straighter if it had fins. I had plans to print a rifled barrel for a nerf gun and test out but haven't got the time.

Re: Help me find a "high speed" (air)valve
Just use a hammer valve... for 300 psi and the power you're seeking it's enough.

Re: Thoughts on my piston valve design
Ohhh the o-ring is in the T not the piston. Well yeah that will work, need low pilot pressure tho, loos like a small difference to me.

Re: Thoughts on my piston valve design
The piston won't open.
The area of the barrel side need to be smaller than the area of the pilot side.

Re: Single shot airsoft
That's better than most commercially available airsoft pistols! Well to be fair it doesn't have hop up to mess with the accuracy and compressed air is way more consistent then green gas. My HPAed Hi-capa does 1 1/2 inch at 10m. For the cost your builds are getting, why not incorporate proper airsof...

Re: Multishot qev
You still need the hole too.
The QEV need modification in all cases, except when you're using a 3 way/slide valve setup.

Re: Multishot qev
I came up with a similar design too as my first "semi auto". The idea is to limit the exhaust volume so the QEV would close. I made a check valve with tiny leaks instead of the shrader so I don't have to manually reset the shrader. Basically one side of the blowgun connects to the QEV the other side...

Re: Paintball quick disconnects
The one with check valves are for bottles, if you buy a common par it won't have it. Most importantly, the female does not have a check valve (I really don't see how they could make one given the small size). If you're not looking for compatibility with paintball/HPA equipment, standard compressor Q...

Re: Multishot qev
I made that system back when I was a teen  For it to work you need a piston that has spring in the back and allows to be filled from chamber side. If your QEV is bought un modified, take a 1mm wire and poke a hole in the piston (not in the middle or you get leaks, poke it where the thick rubber...

No they don't.
You can pick the variant with slide valve incorporated.

Re: Short question topic
Temperature raised considerably here so manually pump and keep the Yong Heng cool is getting tiresome. I'm ready to order the booster pump. Just one last question, how high is the maintenance of it? If I had put enough effort (which I would be very uncomfortable with) like open all the parts and cle...

Re: FAR2017
However a well sealed hop up can benefit light bbs because it allows some pressure build up, in case of a relatively slow valve opening. I have thought several times about pure ballistic sniping, however if you want to go soft on people the muzzle velocity is really low, the first time I fired an AE...
