I guess I didn't say this was the prototype. I was thinking of making about 5-10 of these and using them up, then devising a way to remove it, take out the old burst disk, and clamp in a new one. I think some a track removed from the side of the assembly could house some latches that could allow thi...

The Schmunion
This is my first real topic here... This is a hybrid concept. After seeing a lot of union explosions on hybrids, I decided to devise a way to eliminate them all-together. This is my original idea, and probably will be the first prototype on my hybrid cannon whenever I build it. The good thing about ...

No. Have you ever seen the inside of a pw tee? It's got a 3-1/2" port that goes in a a little bit, (for the pipe to bottom), and then, it gets stepped down about a millimeter or so, to bottom the pipe. The piston slides inside the outside, (3-1/2"), part, and the lathed down portion extends into the...

Close... but no. Pimpmann, I have a a few of those photos you mentioned. They're on my web site, and have a password before them. These are close, but no cigar. First off, there's an O-ring on the right plug near the inside to seal the plug, so that it can only be held in palce by the screws without...

Ehhh... quit trying to rag on Joel's cannons. This guy has two measly sprinkler valves. The Mega Launcher has two Supah Valves... 4.134 square inches of flow, after opening. That pretty much beats the pants off dual sprinkler valves. Hell, my next valve will have more flow than dual sprinklers.8) Al...

If you're making a 2" coaxial piston, maybe try using a caulk gun as a piston? I've only shot one of these once before, but it fit pretty good inside 2" SCH-40 NSF-pw. If you were to add O-ring grooves and some O-rings on the piston, (which I recommend, for more predictable equalization control), yo...
