I bought another Nerf gun
Added the vertical grip (drill handle) and the double flip mags, it just comes with one mag.

Re: Little help with my first prototype
Those little 3/2 normally open lever valves make good triggers.
I got 860fps with 0.12g BBs @ 150psi with this, chamber is big, barell is 400mm
You should get good results with a barrel down to even 400mmI got 860fps with 0.12g BBs @ 150psi with this, chamber is big, barell is 400mm

A bit of Nerf fun
Using a magazine and adapter from one of my Nerf guns I have made a bolt action magazine fed launcher, just needs painting and trigger guard making, 150psi gives over 300fps with half length darts.

Re: help with semi automatic airgun
This turned into a semiauto by making a simple spring loaded piston, I'll find some pictures. If I was going to build another semiauto I would do this again. https://www.spudfiles.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=26658 This is how the piston works, the block is aluminum. piston.jpg I made it from a piece of...

Re: help with semi automatic airgun
I did the piston thing with my 10mm, it ran off 2 valves, was pretty complicated for what it did but worked great.

Re: Rate my cannon
I like it, 500psi is a lot for PVC though :o Well the schedule 80 pvc I'm using is rated for 400 psi and the burst pressure is usually 3-4 times higher than the rated pressure so I should be fine. That's hydrostatic rating, it's not even rated for gas pressure, steel is the way to go. I have done i...

Tennis ball launcher
Atempting to make a low powered tennis ball launcher, couldn't find a suitable piece of pipe for the barrel so made my own from flat piece of stainless, not perfectly round and has a bit of a seam but I think it will do the job.
