Re: DIY nerf rocket launcher

though the cannon is very similar to a lot of other paintball/airsoft rocket launchers
I've seen spring-actuated ball valves but using a pneumatic cylinder is actually quite unique!

Very nicely put together :D

Get SCH 40 2 inch barrel (36 to 48 inches), 2 to 1-1/2 threaded bushing, a 2 inch coupling and some of these for a fun time. Check at your local dollar stores for best prices! Digging this up to say that this was user dewey-1's last post on this forum, ten years ago today. I believe he passed away ...

Re: Best wadding for combustion cannons?

Welcome to the forum!

A little more detail about your cannon and the projectiles you intend to fire will help yield more useful answers to your question

Re: Commercial options for semi auto bb gun with on gun bb storage

How about the Steel Strike, more of a modern tactical look than the 760 but features a 30 round magazine with 900 round storage on a semi/burst capable platform.

Re: HP burst fire BBMG - added videos

Some interesting sort-of related development to this idea, it seems the Germans were working on an aircraft cannon that had multiple projectiles in the same cannon shell arranged in a spiral so they were pushed out sequentially, resulting theoretically in an extremely high rate of fire which is idea...

Have a look at hectmarr's projects, he has done a lot of valuable work in this field.

Re: Seeking Expert Design Optimization Guidance

- Disk Failure: This is not a hybrid design so i set the disc failure pressure to 0. This is correct, also unless you are installing a chamber fan, you can set Chamber Fan Data to zero as well. Friction: I wasn't sure what to put in here. Can OD: 2.6" Barrel ID: 2.63" If the can diameter is smaller...

Ok, this data was from a springer.
That is from this study of springer ballistics which is an interesting read, but not really applicable to pneumatics because in a springer it is affecting compression ratio so transfer port volume is critical, more so than flow.

Re: Old link format redirect?

I'm making a maap gas powered cannon that will shoot 2.6" 12 oz. projectiles (soda cans) . I'm trying to figure out the optimal, most efficient barrel length. Do you know how I could figure that out? Also, I'm wondering what the optimal barrel diameter to chamber diameter ratio is. I could only fin...

Re: Beeman P22 Project

Some final touches, I threaded the barrel to take a 14mm CCW threaded muzzle adapter that would make most airsoft accessories compatible: https://i.imgur.com/P2PiGkb.jpg https://i.imgur.com/jo3aBJz.jpg I milled out the slot in the lower frame so the adapter would fit when open but of course any sort...

Re: Beeman P22 Project

I had given the original P17 in this thread away but acquired a new one and thought I'd give it another go, started with the following modifications: 1) cleaned up the valve stem, installed a harder o-ring and drilled out the transfer port to 3.8mm from 2.5mm 2) added a Delrin sleeve to the chamber ...

Topic: Challenger Arms Corporation Plainsman (CO₂) Pistol

Another relatively rare antique brought back to to life :) this 0.22" pistol was made for only a few years in the late 1950s and was originally designed for 8 gram CO2 cartridges, Carbon Dioxide isn't really my thing however so I've converted it for pneumatic use. It was purchased non-functional but...
