Good design, I might try some of these in my mini.
I will also have a read through the topic you linked to as it slipped through my fingers -_-

How do you feel about making a prototype of the design I have above? I know you are the right man for the job as it involved casting :)

Thanks

Sabot, has anyone tried it yet?

I just started plinking around with pneumatics again and love it just as much as before, best way to kill boredom and night sleep due to hard thought on how to make something. I was into penetrator rounds with sabots earlier and flooded the forum with posts on the subject. I ran into problems with m...

you have to use thread locker not teflon tape.
Or just screw it halfway in one fitting and punch a small notch in the threads to lock it at moderate torque.

I like the design, looks like a crude prototype that is only for testing and that`s nice IMO. Function before form!

Very good test! I love to see a good GGDTvsReality test.

I also like your piston design, very neat and looks efficient.

IWOST: I started using the fridge compressor to its potential as I no longer get electrocuted when using it, ground fault in the shop :) I upgraded my valve on the marble gun and got it a new barrel. The valve upgrade consist of a lighter piston that is self-sealing and a smaller 8mm porting piston ...

What I would have done in your case would be to use only one spark plug and have a burst disk instead, that is if you are looking for optimal performance and not so much after ROF. This way you eliminate some of the performance loss over servral sparks as the gasses...

Well, ran into a bit of a snag.. Have been using this compressor since I got it without problem. But now that I started using it in the garage with a bigger gun I noticed myself getting electrocuted. Not bad at all but I would compare it to a 9V-battery-on-tounge-feeling on my hand that I hold the c...

I thought about that sequence of south park through the entire build :D

Shuriken for my cousin

Hello, my 10 Year old cousin came to ask me for a shuriken, and as it seems to be some interest on those kind of subjects on this forum I thought I should share it. The plate used was something I used for another project earlier so I just used that even though it is only normal mild steel. It is 2mm...

well there is no need for that. Sure if you pressurise the input you should be able to reach higher pressures and higher flow - but the question of whether it is worth it or not is up to you My chamber is only a 1/2" coupling so filling time is no problem, I just want to pressurize the gun faster t...
