Re: My bovine safe pneumatic
That Grainger QEV is exactly the smae valve I use for my dart gun. I use a Cold Steel .625caliber blowgun for a barrel. It fits snugly over 1/2 copper pipe, so it all fits together nicely. Someday I'll get around to making a bolt for it. It fires the Cold Steel .625 mini-boradhead dart hard enough t...

Re: 200 Pound Farm Cannon
Does anyone have experience with shooting canned food as ammunition? The mini tomato paste cans fit so beautifully into the barrel I found. I've been using #2 cans (standard Chef Boyardee size) for years in my big 3"x10' barrel sprinkler-valve cannon. I've only ever tried 150psi once (max water pre...

POLAND_SPUD, that article about unsold cars is actually a bag of horsecrap. The lots they show are staging lots, where cars go to sit for a week or two before being loaded onto trucks or trains or even ships. If you look at shots from just a month or so later, those lots were completely empty. http:...

Well, I routinely fire canned food from my big gun... spinach is pretty nasty. But for the weirdest... probably a whole pickle I fired from my old spray-n-pray. It was a couple weeks old, soft and wrinkly, and when I hit the igniter, it kinda stuck in the barrel and made a *pbpbpbpbpbloob* noise as ...

Crna, you're wasting a lot of money with all those plenum spacers and other doodads. Get yourself a good turbo. We're getting the Series 2 L67 (American version of the ecotec 3.8) down into the high 8s in the 1/4 mile, and that's driving the wrong wheels. You can run mild boost and still make easy 1...

I would NOT want to mess with any type of proellant more powerful than gasoline in that thing. It's just a couple can taped together; there's no structural integrity to it whatsoever. Find yourself some sch40 2.5" nsf-PW PVC and experiment with gases to your heart's content, with no worries about ca...

Re-watching the segment now. Shorter than I thought, but still awesome! And I am now inspired to best myself and create truly the "Baddest Of Them All"! My pennies are now officially being saved for CNC and lathe time to work up my concept recursive-piston valve. BTW, that little clip of Tater looki...

It's all in the editing, man. There were a lot of definite "hold my beer" moments, as you might expect from a show called Redneck Roadtrip , but in general, the guys from the rest of the group were pretty on it. The rest of the cannons were all spray-and-prays, with one pneumatic mortar-type thing m...

I'mma be on TV! (spudgun related)
Myself and a few other local spudders will be appearing with our cannons this Sunday on Redneck Roadtrip on Animal Planet, 10:30pm EST. It's just one segment of the larger show, but we got some great shots and slow-motion captures. If you watch, let me know what you think! I'm the guy with the BIG c...
