Re: Selfcontained Semi-Auto Airsoft Pistol

Ah, you made it :) Welcome to the forum! A lot more sophisticated design than I was expecting. I really like the double action trigger, very clever! I suppose the biggest disadvantage though is that it is not easily adjustable, so for example you could be dumping a lot more air per shot than is nece...

Re: Which side do we like the User Information on?

(an option, in fact, which should have been "I couldn't care less", another case of overpondian mutilation of the beloved mother tongue) I refrained from commenting because I think we can cut our generous benefactor some slack but yes, David Mitchell has a good rant on that: https://youtu.be/om7O0M...

Re: Victorian "Air Cane" brought back to life

So when do we get to see the unbalanced spool valve that opens with the anemic 19th century hammer at 3 kPSI? I see you have mastered clairvoyance :D Seriously I can easily replace the CO2 bottle with a 3000 psi tank and making a balanced valve would not be that much of a challenge... I'm just worr...

Re: Simple machine gun.

Nice idea, you could easily make something like the Villar Perosa :D

The magazine style would fit too!

Re: Victorian "Air Cane" brought back to life

Sorry to go to the sewers, and divert the topic of the publication a bit. ;) No need to apologize, I'm here for the humor as much as I am for the ballistics ;) How finely have you tried adjusting the distance between the barrel and valve body? The problem struck me while looking at the photos, if y...

Re: Victorian "Air Cane" brought back to life

Beautiful stick that shoots! It amazes me that it is from the mid-19th century, and it still works, with the repairs and adaptation that you did. It is a pcp from 1860! When you look at it you can see the similarity to a percussion lock , it really is quite fascinating and an interesting bit of his...

Victorian "Air Cane" brought back to life

Here's something a little unusual that I acquired a while back, it took me some time to play with it as I needed to make an adapter for a new chamber and it's only recently that I was able to cut non-standard threads on the lathe. I bought this one without any accessories and with an air reservoir t...

Re: Simple machine gun.

Very interesting! I would be worried about the BBs damaging each other in the magazine though, did you verify that they are intact after a few shots?

Re: Question regarding piston for mini coaxial

Or should I look into using epoxy or a solid rubber one? But that would require me to make an entirely new piston. The epoxy I have right now is kinda thick so to make a piston it probably needs to be thinned down. Thanks for the help. I've had success with a rubber piston even at 850 psi. Easy to ...

Re: Adding Multiple Sparks In Combustion Chamber

Welcome to the forum! Multiple spark gaps will give you a marginal increase in power, but nothing that will really be perceptible. The best way to consistently increase power is to stop using hairspray and properly meter Propane or MAPP gas. Here is way you can do it easily with a syringe: https://y...
