Lately I'm finding that wide-bellied sheepfoot and wharncliffe style blades are really great for utility tasks. The upsweep typically found on most blades subtracts from the straight portion of blade. I was looking at my Izula and I noticed that it would be perfect... if the blade was flipped upside...

In general I've found that CPVC is more elastic than normal PVC. Normal PVC is stiffer and does not recover its shape as nicely unless you nest a fiberglass rod inside.

I've made plenty of "toy" bows using CPVC.
