&lt;div&gt;These are similar in how they work to [[sprinkler valve]]s (they are [[diaphram valve]]s too). They are more expensive and harder to find, but also preform better. They don&#039;t come with a solenoid valve like the sprinklers do, so you&#039;ll have to furnish your own [[pilot valve]].&lt;br /&gt;

Since they are designed to quickly exhaust pnematic cylinders, they are designed to be filled from behind the diaphragm and typically work well using a 3-way valve as the fill/pilot valve.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
