I'm not going to say that connecting a few turns of conductive wire to the spark plug, and a small appropriate battery, is another option because you will fuck me! :o

Re: JSR's workshop chronicles

A not very interesting video I made is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpwiL3BgiIY That was actually an amusing and informative watch, I can see why you thought my workshop was more organized... obviously you've just been at it longer J'ai aussi apprécié le contraste avec le bloke anglais pottering...

Single-pump hybrid concept

I like @hectmarr 's work on these autonomous hybrids. I'm thinking about a design for a single-pump, high-mix hybrid. It seems to me that going for multiple pumps is a waste, since the resistance of the first few strokes is low, so one's arm is getting a lot of exercise just going back and forth. [a...

Re: Single-pump hybrid concept

A few more thoughts: I looks like Hector's little pistol has 16mL chamber, or ~1 cubic inch. I feel a bit silly for planning a rifle around a chamber with half that volume. So, I eked out a bit more performance by extending the lever arm to 24," the attachment point to 6.5," and increasing the cylin...

Re: about accuracy

I am hesitant to chime in, seems i have a dissenting opinion. Thank you hectmarr, language is not something I study, and your post even in translation is clear and concise. I guess I could not explain properly. As hectmarr stated any imperfection in the barrel will affect performance. Personally I t...

Re: Ammo feeding for a QEV/popoff cannon

Thanks again, although I believe I've found a different solution. Crude magazine.jpg This is a crude magazine I've cobbled together with some brass pipe, compression springs, epoxy and heat shrink tubing. The capacity is about 50 .177 bbs. There's a large "L" shaped groove I cut to allow the followe...

metal pipe gun

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UC6DPhBtdmU The bullets are 15 millimeter fishing sinkers covered in duct tape. The tape makes the pressure build up when the bullet tries to enter the barrel which makes the bullet violently pop out. The barrel is a 15 millimeter stainless steel pipe. The loading cha...

Re: about accuracy

It is logical what it says. A 1/4 "steel pellet weighs almost exactly 1 gram. The mass of the ammunition should influence its rotational speed as it exits the barrel intentionally or unintentionally. The heavier, the more resistance to rotating at high speed. Unfortunately, I only have steel bb's t...

Re: Hybrid repeat system

That is next level stuff there. I am still trying to wrap my head around this. Clearly it works.

Maybe once I have my system complete I will try my hand at autonomous function.

Thanks for sharing this!

Re: High pressure air pump

Very nice!

Does that mean we will be seeing some ultra-high mix hybrids in the near future :D

Re: Multi Shots out of 100psi Tank

I let people know I was thinking of the children and I ended up on a shortlist. Surprised that stood out on the continent  :D What does the qev gain me over the sprinkler? Better flow? Faster opening? Probably less flow and faster opening, but most importantly, faster closing. Instead of need...
