On a small scale it's not worth having a piloted exhaust valve, the hammer can open your main valve directly:

Here is one working:
Looks like it is basically the same concept as a NBB airsoft gun.
A double action trigger seals the chamber and then knocks open a valve poppet.

How does a Non blow back work? Is that like the trigger pulls nozzle loads bb Seats bb. And somehow blocks air input and releases chamber?. More or less, it depends on the model. On my Marui MK23 the trigger pushes a nozzle forward that strips a BB from the magazine and least it in the barrel, whil...

If you have the same air volume and the chamber is 1/3 the volume, the pressure will increase by 3x.

Higher pressure will always give better performance, you can use smaller chamber to get the same volume, and probably smaller valve, just that everything has to be rated for that pressure, that's why I stick to 150psi, materials are easy to get hold of.
