Atempting to make a low powered tennis ball launcher, couldn't find a suitable piece of pipe for the barrel so made my own from flat piece of stainless, not perfectly round and has a bit of a seam but I think it will do the job.

Re: Thoughts on my piston valve design
Just to update anyone that is interested... This project is not dead, but life took over and 2 years passed. I had some issue with the 3D and lost my latest revisions, so will have to revisit the design. After re-reading this entire thread again I have some changes I'd like to make. I will post any ...

Re: Electro-pneumatic Eclipse with Air-burst rounds
The shells can hold about a dozen .68 sized paintballs and around 40 .50 caliber ones. We use biodegradable sabots on either side of paintballs so there is no risk of shell not opening.

Re: Electro-pneumatic Eclipse with Air-burst rounds
You can fire them at as low a pressure as you want with smooth bore. The rifled rounds need a little push to cut the grooves though. We want to do some paintball and airsoft rounds as well but need to get the base products off the ground first. Going to revisit the revolver in a 5 round version and ...

Re: How far does it go!
good news while it was fun to refresh my trigonometry and kinematic equations I found a projectile calculator online as soon as you enter an initial height time in flight and angle you should get a result https://www.omnicalculator.com/physics/projectile-motion based on your 16seconds at 45 degrees ...

Re: A tale of two valves
Lol, I see what you're saying a lot more energy in the larger one used inefficiently. I'll make a video next time I visit my friend. Not a strictly controlled test but the large cannon was filled to something like 80psi the small cannon filled to a fraction of that shooting the same tennis ball we s...

Designing a inline piston pressure regulator - Fluid statics math model
Hello everyone! I finally found some free time after finishing my undergraduate degree and I'm starting to get back into this hobby. One thing I always wanted to make is a pressure regulator to fill my creations from a external tank. Currently I have a 2l fire extinguisher to use for this purpose. M...

Re: Latest Eclipse Defense 37mm Pneumatic
Iknowmy3tables,
I am not really active elsewhere but will try and be everywhere once we are in production. I will also be able to share more details of the system then as well.
Thinking about getting onto some airgun and firearm related sites to preach the gospel. Any recommendations?
