Re: HA-VI

I have prepared an animation of the pneumatic system. The explanation is as follows. I hope my explanation is understandable ... :? In the first table: When the valve is opened, the mixture is charged in the combustion chamber and at the same time, the accumulator is charged with pressurized gas. Th...

HA-VI

I am trying some ideas to simplify my weapons as much as possible. This new sistem has the following advantages: 1- It has no piston 2- It has no spring 3- It does not have a rupture disc 4- It has no solenoid valve 5- It has no dead spaces between the combustion chamber and the firing barrel The 1/...

QEV CO2 valve

Hello everyone. I made a new valve, it will work on CO2. How it looks inside can be seen in the diagram. The turner made the blue part for me on the machine, I soldered it inside the tee.

Re: I was hoping for some feedback on my oxy-propane combustion cannon.

The biggest I usually see is 150 ml. That's big enough for 1x in a 3.75 liter (229 in^3) chamber, which is a pretty big chamber. https://www.amazon.com/Syringes-Scientific-Measuring-Watering-Refilling/dp/B07C71C1LH/ref=sxin_7_ac_d_rm?ac_md=2-2-bGFyZ2Ugc3lyaW5nZQ%3D%3D-ac_d_rm&cv_ct_cx=syringe&dchild...

Re: Port size vs performance

Not that I have much to add to this, but It's threads like this that make me a fan of spudfiles.

Re: Re:

The fan should be placed on the other side of the spark gap or it is at large risk of being blown apart. Fan at the back is problematic? Mine is mounted about 2 inches from the rear, never had a problem or had to replace it... Sgort has been gone for several years. Last I checked his channel on you...

Re: "Sabotless" Semi-Automatic Shotgun Concept

I was having a bit of a think about this idea and it seems it could be greatly simplified and also made more efficient: https://i.imgur.com/Csm81PX.gif The piston itself becomes the hammer that opens an inline balanced valve. Sorta thinking out loud. Piston be generating air infront of it, as heade...

Re: "Sabotless" Semi-Automatic Shotgun Concept

A different application from your idea. The trigger you actually draw is the initiator of the recharge of the repeat hybrid. It is the mechanical locking of the piston, which allows it to move to the right, by the action of the spring, and then, to the left by the action of compressed air. To fire, ...

New member, new toy.

Hello all, I have the 'classic' PVC spudgun (muzzle loading, cost all of $30 including igniter), and was looking for a way to pretty it up. I recently purchased a 3D printer and decided to play with a modular shoulder mount. I'll be printing over the next few weeks and can report back if anyone is i...

I need to get back to building. :/ I've had AR parts lying around since last fall but I finally got around to getting a lower a month ago and have been building that instead of the cannon I need to be finishing.

Arduino automated spudgun fuel injector

Hi all, I've been away from the forum since forever, but I'm still firing my old cannons now and then. They all reside at the airfield where I skydive, since it's there I have the most space and the best audience. My carrot combustion cannon (showcased here ) has been my go-to since it's not tied to...

Supersonic baseball cannon on 'Smarter Every Day'

They built a balanced piston valve. Very heavy-duty steel, they've run it as high as 500psi. The barrel is evacuated before the shot. There's a nice shadowgraph image of the shock wave from the supersonic baseball. Discussion of the concept: https://youtu.be/E60G3ba4TUA?t=296 The shock waves start h...
