Re: A look inside the "bleacher reacher" t-shirt launcher

I'm working on a mostly 3D printed version of this that fits inside of a 3"pvc

Re: Hybrid pumped weapon project

I did a test at 11X with a 16g .22 pellet and three disks, as Jack suggested. He drilled into an old 1mm stainless steel military pan and the noise is quite loud. The pellet seems to have penetrated through, but it was useless to find traces...The damage is in the first photo. Orificio acero inox. 1...

Re: Hybrid pumped weapon project

Oh yeah !! it's the same... Keep in mind that your post you name here is my bible on this. I not only remember it, I have it complete in a word, on my pc and on a DVD... It is exactly the same as what you made, I only made it in the form of a weapon to be able to shoot and aim, with the air pump inc...

Re: "Offtopic-posts-topic" NSFW

I swear this showed up here before, at least I saved it at some point in my random youtube folder.

Hammer & QEV Valve Questions

Hello, people of Spudfiles! This is my first bolt-action airgun, and I've no idea what pressure it requires. The rifle will hopefully shoot a 0.357 caliber slug out to 300 yards out of a 21-inch barrel, powered by a paintball hpa tank. I'm hoping to get maybe 600-900 fps. If I could get calculations...

Re: Single pumping hybrid, "Strong Boy"

LBC, sistema carga bolillas acero .25 (2).png Upgrading the single-pump gun. I'm trying to build the drawing. It has associated to what is in the drawing, a loading system for 6.35 mm bb's to make it a repetition weapon 8-) I'm working on a rough prototype to test the concept. The goal is for it to...

Re: Single pumping hybrid, "Strong Boy"

Here some photos of the "monster" that works very well! :D It is unfortunate that it only compresses at 3 bar because the compression cylinder that I used has an internal diameter of 26 mm, which is a lot to generate without any lever, more pressure. What's nice is that you can shoot on repeat and i...

Re: 3D printed internal valve trial

I'm only going to be dealing with about 40psi max.. which puts me around 280lbs of pressure on this. At this point I'm still testing concept, and it could likely be made from aluminum if need be. With the piston itself being 3D printed, it has very low mass and hopefully will not create too much imp...

Re: 3D printed internal valve trial

Bearing in mind that I know bugger all about 3d printing apart from what Ive read on line, I think I'd probably be a bit worried about the housing splitting along the lines between layers. Otherwise, it looks proper good and very much the kind of thing I'd machine.

Re: 3D printed internal valve trial

I think the valve looks great. That looks like the kind of thing I would design myself and I like it. I haven't studied the valve closely, but it just looks good generally. I wonder how strong the plastic will be where those small screws are. The only real concern I have is you mentioned something g...

3D printed internal valve trial

Hi Everyone, I'm relatively new here, and previously posed this to the bleacher-reacher thread. I thought it might be more appropriate to make a new thread dedicated to my experimentation with a 3D printed internal valve. I'm open to everyone's thoughts and suggestions, and I will answer as many que...

Re: Hammer & QEV Valve Questions

With a standard hammer valve the hammer has to open *and hold open* the entire valve that's going to be used to flow the air you're using for propulsion. As pressure and bore size go up, you'll need more and more hammer force to open the valve. A QEV + hammer valve reduces the hammer force required ...

Re: Vortex feeding issue

I inherited a 3d printer from a friend of mine, so naturally my first project (after a few dnd minis) was doing some experimenting with vortex block design. The design in question has a skirt surrounding it to aid in loading, and since making the model, i have attached a couple of shrouds to avoid j...
