Has anyone here ever used Amazing GOOP Automotive contact adhesive and sealant? They sell it at at Wal-Mart near the JB Weld, and I picked some up. I'm using it on my pneumatic to fix leaks in the JB Weld, and I was wondering if my gun is going to blow up because of it. So far, it seems to work pretty good.

I build foam r/c planes with goop. I don't know about pressure applications though...

Wait. Hold the fuck up. Why do you use JB Weld on your pneumatics!?!?!?!?
That is extremely dangerous!!!

No see, first I solvent weld, if that leaks I put JB Weld on it, then if that continues to leak I put GOOP over it. Plus it's only on a little pneumatic that has three pepsi bottles as chambers, It should be fine.

There should be no leaks if you solvent welded properly.

Yeah but the thing is, to attach the pop bottle I JB Welded the pop bottle to bike innertube, then to a 3/4'' MPT adapter, and that leaked like a female doggy, so I put more JB Weld on, and it kept leaking so I put more JB Weld on it, then I put Goop on it. I did wait atleast a day in between each application of JB Weld, so now I need to wait for the Goop to dry. Realy ghetto :).

I don't trust stuff that is asociated with goop and not epoxy. it sounds like non drying thread stuff, I trust jbweld espesally since it's presure rated, but I don't know what the provied presure rating means and how to aplly it so I just try to make it as thick as posible.

The goop just dried, another layer of JB Weld just went on, I this thing keeps leaking I'm going to chop off the MPT adapters, (except on one of the bottles, I found an adapter thing that fits perfectly over a pop bottle threads and I JB Welded it on and it doesn't leak) then I'll put on a 1"x3/4" reducer and a 1" coupler on each then I'll have 1" air chambers.
Edit:
First off pvcarsenal, I love pop bottles, they're premanufactured pressure vessels.
Second I love ghetto guns.

Pop bottles rule I've used them in several of my cannons and haven't had a problem because ghetto guns are interesting

I used to love this stuff, I used it all the time on my combustions for sealing screw holes and such.

That was, of course, until they changed the recipe...now it sucks.

come on arsenal soda bottles are great, an entire chamber for free, plus there super light so their great for portable cannons I like them for water guns especially and they may a nice ghetto burst disk when your out of parts
their guns a little less pretty and small for bigger guns
