The use of a blender looks like a very good idea to me.LikimysCrotchus5 wrote:Its really shouldnt be that messy cwazy, just put it in the blender until it turns into a pulp, then freeze.
Would it work if i would use "rough" sawdust and blender that?
With rough sawdust I mean the following: I am planning to use the stuff you put on the floor of a hamster cage
A few cents for a 2,5 kg package.

The best way to seal the bottom of a mold, without spending any money, is to simply sit the pipe in a tray, and pour a few inches of water in the bottom, then sit it in the freezer. After that has frozen, you can pour in the water or Pykrete. Also, for larger molds, or any Pykrete slugs, save yourself the trouble of trying to get the ice out of the mold, and simply cut the mold open and detach it from the ice.
I've just made a 2.5lb Pykrete slug, and it turned out perfect. 4 more are on the way. You can often get sawdust for free, lots of people have it lying around.

psycix the rough sawdust works fine a had some laying around and i used it you do have to shred it up a good bit though. one hting im thinking about doing is fill ing up a ballon with water and sawdusr and sticking it in a pipe so it would be sphereacl (ispelled that wrong didnt i) the only prob i see is the sides flatening on the walls

Mr.C: That's not as easy as you think. It's like me kicking you in the balls and telling you to stop crying.

what about sawdust makes piecrete so durable? and would PVC dust work? cuz i got alot of that lyin around
edit: ooh, i just had an idea, make plain ice bullets and put (something that freezes slower than water, i'm stupid right now from too much pie) put that in a ping pong ball and hang the ball inside the water, then when it freezes you have a payload that splatters with the bullet...just a thought

Maybe you could put something like flour in the pingpong ball.Eddbot wrote:what about sawdust makes piecrete so durable? and would PVC dust work? cuz i got alot of that lyin around
