I am debating.. Should I build a modded sprinkler valve cannon or buy a dremel.. I want to make the cannon but I know hiw useful the dremel will come in.. (Using 70 bucks)
Sorry if you think this topic is dumb but there none other like it.
Thanks!

Word to the wise...don't get a battery operated one...go for the plug in...they are much more powerful...
I bought a battery operated one and kind of regret it after using a corded one...

Wise advise! I like the 1/4hp Pony model with flex shaft and foot tredel speed control, nice!Jared Haehnel wrote:Word to the wise...don't get a battery operated one...go for the plug in...they are much more powerful... I did that...

Why not get both?
Dremel -- $25-$39
I use the Dremel 395 Multipro. I bought 10 and received a discount at $21 a piece.
Mod the sprinkler valve yourself.
3/4" Sprinkler valve -- $10-$15
Blowgun -- $6-$9
1/4" NPT fitting -- ~$1.50
2" Sch40 NSF-PW PVC 5' -- ~$3.00
3/4" Sch40 NSF-PW PVC 5' -->$3.00
Fittings I would use.
Chamber(all Sch40 NSF-PW) -->$7
2" endcap
2" coupler
2" to 3/4" reducing bushing
3/4" threaded adapter
Barrel (Sch40 NSF-PW)
3/4" threaded adapter -- $1.50
Cleaner and Primer -- ~$7.50
Teflon tape -- >$1
In my area it would be about $90 max for everything. I also live in one of the higher priced places in the US. With some creative shopping you should be able to have enough leftover for a pop and a candy bar. I would have enough for a IPA at the pub.

One word of warning. Don't dig too deep when you're using the highest speed. I broke an internal gear on my dad's Dremel, and he was PISSED!
