Me again back from lowes and the local hardware store. They do not sell 4 inch pressure rated pvc only foam core which i believe wont work.Is this correct?I figure i need about 16 inches for my air chamber.Anyone have any ideas?I bought the largest pressure rated pvc which is 1.5 inch. Now with a 24 inch 2.5 barell i will have to run three lengths to make up for no 4 inch.I think this will look dumb. Can anyone enlighten me on how else to do this .Thanks

				certainly,

you could always go this route

here's the page

soda bottles can hold a fairly large amount of pressure
you can actually use a single 3liter bottle, instead of 3- 1liter bottles

				Don't recommend soda bottles personally..
First off this is in the wrong forum.
Second off, try
www.mcmaster.com
The NSF 61 fittings are all pressure rated.
That's where I buy pressure rated 4"

well technically they need to be able withstand the pressure they can reach in a car on a hot summer day, which get up to around 100psi, they are rated to 150psi as a safety margin, they hydro test them in the factory to these pressures
Also, i don't think NASA would endorse something that that they didn't think was safe for people to pressurize.
http://exploration.grc.nasa.gov/educati ... /about.htm
They have been used in water rocketry for many years, and I have only seen a few cases of them exploding(about as many as
I have heard in PVC) when used @ safe pressures
 i.e. < 100psi

Any good hardware store should have pressure rated PVC. Lowes and Home Depot don't carry them. They only carry cellular core PVC as your experiences already show. Depending on your region,
Southern Pipe and Supply will carry it. They were the guys who ordered pretty much all our fittings. Their prices aren't too bad either.

Your local ACE hardware can get it. I can even get the SKUs if you want. I am a manager of one. We keep some on hand at all times and you can buy it by the foot instead of the whole piece.

Just ordered all of my 4" fittings from them, all pressure rated and Lasco brand.
