Yep. I am always on the look out for anything that fits the bore of my 2" co-axial cannon. Last night when I ran out of taters I spied a tray of stale cupcakes that were about to get dumpstered. Much to my amusement they fit the cannon perfectly and judging by the sound (it was 1 AM) they travel hella fast and far.

Pluses: biodegrades rapidly, easy to make, feeds the deer, feeds the cannon operator.
Minuses: frosting is sticky, cannon needs a clean out after a session, might be more expensive than taters...depends on where you source them.
Ideas I need to try: filling paper cupcake liners with different materials...like alginate, plaster, fast setting drywall patch compound, flour/water/baking soda (inedible cupcake).
Basically a cupcake tray is the perfect mold...and the paper liner means no hassles with the ammo sticking to the mold. And baking means no waiting around for hours and hours for concrete or epoxy or whatever to kick off.
