It isn't a new idea but it's new to me what do you think. And is it safe to have the hose clamps on it like this.

I don't really get how that works, as the photos (especially the close ups) aren't very clear. From what I see, you replaced the nail on the barrel hose clamp with a longer one. As long as the threads are the same as the short nail, it should be ok. I'm really not sure what you did with the bottom, but heres a guess. You added a piece of metal under and on top of the hose clamps and tightened the bolt inside there. That works. Or, you may have welded it? That works too (obviously :P) You may have to get a better camera for me to actually see whats going on though. :lol:

I drilled 1 hole on each hose clamp and put a bolt through it. with a nut on one side and the rubber thing is some heat shrink. It's light weight and heavy duty. It is unisonmind's design.
