I theory, you could melt salt, then pour it into a mold to make ammo.
Salt is very cheap, at least where I live, which is nice.
But, how practical would this be? Any ideas?
Edit: As long as I'm talking about molding, has anyone ever tried molding aluminum or lead ammo?

I hate to be the one to spoil a good idea, but the melting point of salt is about 1400 degrees farenheit (~800 celcious)

Casting salt (assumed to be NaCl here) is possible, although one may wonder why it's more effective than concrete - or simply forming the salt chunk through evaporation of a wet salt slurry?
PVC arsenal......is that supposed to be a joke?
Edit: Yes, it is NaCl
Well, I kinda just wanted to experiment, and as far as I know, salt glazes and becomes harder when you melt it.Casting salt (assumed to be NaCl here) is possible, although one may wonder why it's more effective than concrete -
I've always had a hard time forming salt chunks like that......could you maybe fill me in exactly how I would go about doing that?or simply forming the salt chunk through evaporation of a wet salt slurry?
