Can't you just hold the button down?

This is like most of life's problems, can be solved with duck tape

put a piece of rubber or plastic between the batteries and the contacts. then put a switch to connect them. thats what i would do.

Or replace the push switch that they have on there with another switch and have the wires run out the hole where the button used to be.

I have no idea if eather of these work, i just thought of them now.

I tryed the thing on burnt lake with one of these lasers.......
And it doesn't work.....because these don't have the same circit as the one they used.....but if you can get the same laser pointer im sure it will work.....bit more expensive tho

I dont understand how it works though.

What I did to my laser pointer was open the back and put an old electrical fuse in with wires attached to it positioned so they would touch the contacts the batterys usually touch. I used electrical tape to hold this all together. This way you don't risk breaking the laser circutry, and you can run it off a different power source to the REALLY expensieve batterys that they come with. ( I used 4 AA batterys in series, they were the same voltage that the batteries it came with produced).
I still used the lasers original switch, but you could tape it in the 'on' position and mount a separate switch on the external batteries.

Heres a really simple and effective way to do it duct tape the button down and unscrew the back cap enough untill it doesnt work anymore but so that it doesnt fall off and when ur ready to use it screw it back on tight and when ur down just unscrew again!

Wrap a rubber band around the laser so it covers the switch.

Well what i did,hrd to explain, but i got my laser, and a lid from my texta pen, and using 2 rubber bands each side, spaced appart, when u want it on, face the switch so its facing into the texta cap. ill try draw something up in a sec.

My brother did a system for a laser nearly identical to the one above.

2 inches of M8 threaded rod, a pair of transistors, and a 9V battery clip, plus a little electrical wire and tape, can be built into a fully electronic touch the trigger system.

Depending on where you put your two contacts, when both are touched at the same time, the laser springs on. Saves on the expensive batteries (both because of minimised use, and a 9V rechargable costs almost nothing to recharge), and looks cool.

And if he can do the electronics, a drunk monkey could do it (as he says anyway)

If you look at laser pointers used on firearms (I assume you want to apply a similar device to a spudgun of sorts) they're never permanently on but have a pressure switch somewhere on the grip or trigger guard, it helps save on batteries.
