SWEET!! I've always wanted to do something like this! Great paint job, and nice video, too.

that looks like a really good idea. maybe a lil time consuming for ammo though, but if it works, then its worth it.

-EDIT-

After waching the video more closely, does the rocket start to tumble at the peak of the flight?

Would it work better with bigger fins? They look like they are only a half inch or so. If that was increased to an inch or more would they work better, or would that be to much weight in back?

your right, it did tumble because not enough weight in the nose. i had this same problem with another shell this size, i added bondo in the nose and it flew straight. i gotta add some weight to this one for sure.

Make some jigs for the parts and it wouldn't take as long to make them. Knock out 20 or so of each thing at a time and you'd be in business.

Woah, I just realized it's August already! Frickin' summer, I never know what day it is or what the date is. Oh well.
Back on topic: Nice job, but aren't those fins a bit skinny to help as much as they could?

Looks good, but like you said needs more weight on the front. And another set of fins wouldn't be bad.

i think you might benefit from some fatter fins. And it would deploy faster if the rubber band was fastened to the end of the fin. good job though
