strange visit!

This is rather quite exciting:
Yesterday I was putting the finishing touches on Larda and a gentleman from the Hardware paid me a visit.
I stepped out to great him and asked to what I owed the visit and he explained that he would like to view my guns.

I showed him Larda, as it is my only cannon that is currently operational enough for a demonstration, I used a burst disk of 16 layers of aluminum foil and left off the barrel for the demonstration.
When I touched it off the man was rather quite impressed, to the point of rambling like an insane man.

I do believe I have a spudding companion!


The gentleman was quite exuberant about seeing the live-fire test shots.
At first he thought that it was just something I had haphazardly thrown together for entertainment, but I explained that I had been doing this for years and the cannon he wanted to see is capable of projecting a golf ball at mach two.

He understood the principles behind hybrid cannon completely, and I believe I can convince him that my endeavourers deserve some financial assistance.
