Burst Fire Guns
Does anybody know how guns fire in bursts? I completely understand Semi-Auto and Fully-Auto but not in between. Somebdy please explain it, could'nt find anything on google.

with a burst fire gun you got 3 pins (a semi only has got 1) that lock. its very difficult, but when you know it it is very simple.
every time you shoot with a semi it will return and hold in place with a pin. a burst has got the same idea, but than it has got 3 pins. that hold the bolt.
a soldier tried to say to me how it works, i only got it for a small part.
hope this is enough

I think I get it now, in the case I read aout there are 2 triggers, the trigger you pull has 3 notches in it and when you pull the trigger the second trigger gets pulled at every notch, the second trigger is what actually fires the gun.

i dont believe that's accurate for all guns, in fact, that picture seems to be a mechanism that would attach to the trigger guard floor plate of an AR-15 to give it 3 shot burst capability, the 2nd upper trigger is the actual trigger of the gun, and the lower exposed one is that add on. i'm not sure how legal that would be, but it would be a great idea if it was in fact legal

no,this isn't the way. you know how a semi works, it has 1 rod that catches the bolt.
a burst gun has got 3. if you pull the triger you always pull it long enaugh to let the bolt catch both 3 rods.
its very dificult (almost imposible to make your own)
whit a burst gun, if you release the trigger very fast, it will only shoot 1-2 shots (but that is imposible, its to fast).
