one of my mates asked me to sing in there band :shock: , they really want me to and i want to, but i dont want to sing infront of a croud :( , they dont play death metal they play rock and funk. what should i do :shock: ? i need help

how big of a crowd?and what band does your mates band sound like, a similar sounding band?

30-50 people tops, well they dont really have there own songs they need a singer songwriter me to help them with that.

Well if you have creative issues (can't agree on the music with the rest of the band) look for a band closer to your intention.
About the live performance thing: if you're comfortable rehearsing with the band, you'll be comfortable playing for a small audience, friends and family and stuff. Then it just gets bigger and bigger. You have to love what you do, though. You have to live to play music, otherwise you won't go very far.
