The top Torch I use about 1 foot away and gently rotate the PVC until it behaves like a garden hose. Keep the PVC out of the flame. It burns quickly. Just use the hot air beyond the flame.

From there I can bend and shape PVC. It is how the bells were put on the Dragon, the breech of the Mouse Musket chamber, and the golf ball bazooka.

The torch is like a bernz-o-matic, but a lot more BTU with a wider swirl flame. It heats a larger area quickly. The pencil torches have a small hot spot. For PVC a broader warm area is best.

Turbo Torch is the brand. Love them.

I'll plan on doing a Youtube Video on custom heating PVC tricks later.

Yes you're exactly right!!! At least that's been a side effect for the past couple days...

My mom put that fan there to help cool off her car after driving it... The average temp this week (in Oklahoma) has been 99* F (37C) and topping at 105* F (40C)... :? :P

LOL! Moms eh

Similar temperatures in epoxyland, annoying but epoxy curing times are remarkably cut down, which makes for faster prototyping ;)
