Not a wise thing to do...not in the least. Getting caught attempting to bring a weapon on to an aircraft could have had life long consequences.

Smart like a stump. :|

Yeah, agreed. They just need to see something abnormal on the x-ray for them to take an interest, their first suspicion might be to do with drugs but it won't matter in the end.

Well, it actually would be ridiculous to arrest me for that... It was literally a pen, even can write (the charge of a bic pen works both as a pen and projectile.)
It's 100% pen on x-ray, passed through it at least 4 times.

That is the same company that makes AR 15 lower receivers. The issue with the ALL plastic gun is that the barrel wears extensively on the first shot. It would be neat to include carbon fiber in the barrel and see how much it helped strength. Wouldn't really help for wear. Perhaps some ceramic coating for that (metal would likely conduct too much heat to the plastic around it)

Perhaps accommodate a standard barrel liner, 5/16 .224" liners will handle a .22 all day without bulging, and just like Wyz did, take it as a pen. Slip in the liner when it's ready to use.

Carry on is hard to do, but taking things on a flight is scarily simple.

After the whole "Liberator" furore I was challenged by a friend to build an all-plastic gun, working on it...

Please remote test fire. Something tells me that if it fails, it will be more dangerous than the epoxy castings that seem to never harm you :D

I wonder if they deliberately made it from low quality or low density material in order to scaremonger, or used a higher pressure cartridge than recommended.

Is a gun good or is it evil?

I can litterally go to a few shops and construct a better firearm in less time, including ammo without the need for any license/permit to get all the parts eventhough it would be illegal.

I'm sure I could find and obtain the same materials/components basically in most developed countries. No need to fly it across any border.

Eventhough the subject is interesting, I cannot see myself actually doing such a thing.
For me, knowing how to- is good enough.

Some people however have other intentions

The good thing is, not a lot of people would know what to get and how to use it.

.

This is not an ideal world we live in.
Bad people do bad things and obtain weapons with or without laws made to prevent just that.
This means that gunlaws will only be respected by those they were not intended for.

Killing people is illegal around the globe.
Bad people do it anyway.

The question is wether or not all good people would stop them if they could legally own and carry the means.

The recent attack in London makes you wonder about what makes sense.
I'd rather be shot once.
Feeling sick thinking about what that young lad had to go through.

I'm glad I'm not a polititian.

OH MY GOD!!!!

Police raid 'Britain's first 3D gun factory': Officers seize printer they believe criminals were using to make firearms

Nope.

Deadly: What appears to be a sniper rifle equipped with along-sighted lens was recovered
It's clearly a Steyr LR series air rifle.

What a sh!tty country the UK has become.

Not just UK, the whole Europe...
Sometimes I really feel like "f*ck the police". The government should know that for a safer society you need to raise the education of the general population, stable economy etc, not ridiculous laws and a bunch of cops...
