Regardless of race or gender, I applaud those who achieve their goals in spite of the hardships they might face, but have no time or tolerance for those who fail and claim it was "because I am _________ ".
I have no problem with discrimination in the job market. I start a business and bet everything I have, including my balls and future that my business will succeed. I really couldn't give a crap about public input about how my business should be run or whom I should hire (or fire) and why. It's my life I'm wagering. I assume ALL the risks and ALL the losses, while I guarantee the employees receive their paychecks. MANY times, after making payroll, their isn't enough left for me to buy Tortillas and Beans, yet the employees have been living well all along. When my payday FINALLY arrives, it's usually sizeable. If I go out treat myself to something (ski boat, motor home, etc.) The employees complain to each other that "I'm making it on their backs" and they become resentful. I'm sick of public thinking that when someone creates a business, it should be for the good of the community and his fellow man. Screw that! I create a business for the good of my family and me. If someone feels they are the object of discrimination, they are free to risk everything they have (and yet to have) and start their own business. I'm sick of todays work force sniveling, complaining and trying to control the business I sacrificed and struggled to create. Hell with public input in my business and to hell with lazy, envious employees that play the poor me "Discrimination Card"!

If you really want to shut them up, post a graph of your biweekly paycheck somewhere in the work area. Not sure that's worth the loss of privacy to you, but it might gain you some respect.

Hear hear. I see nothing wrong with a business having a social policy and contributing to the local community, but it should have no legal obligation to do so. When were people taught to be so friggin' entitled anyway, human rights - check, human responsibility - nah, cheers.

Pressure question,,, with these heavy rains my family is going to be needed a second sump pump nd I got the idea to connect another sump pump to another pumps line,, the one pump is already connected to the one drain line, nd I was just going to put a tee with aball valve so I can keep it closed when rain isnt hard enough for two pumps,,,, my concern is if I connect two pumps to one pipe will it hurt the pumps or burst the pipe again two going into one?

Check valve would be better than a ball valve as you won't need to open it manually. Adjust float switch on second pump to come on only if first pump is not keeping up.

Is the drain line sufficiently large to handle the flow from both pumps? If not, you effectively increase head pressure, and reduce the output of both pumps while working both pumps harder...ie increased current load. More amps for less benefit...lose/lose situation.

Best would be separate drain lines and float switches set as mentioned.

You bet. That's about 370 feet per second.

To put it into perspective, this is just 90 feet per second!

That's a bit extreme... one would think Darwin would take care of it sooner or later ;)

Maybe they could play with this little device...
