I use to have a traxxas stampede. I loved it! It bashed all around and had great upgrades. Im more into the monster trucks thats why I picked the stampede over the rustler. Now if I were to get back into the hobby I would get the HPI MT2 or maybe the REVO or Savage. But I think that they are way too expensive for just an RC truck!

Definately dont get any traxxas with a mechanincal speed control! I dont know if they still make them but just spend the extra dollars and get one with an ESC.

All RC stuff can be great fun in my book! Benster has the rite idea. Electric RC doesn't have the power i like plus your tethered buy a cord/electrical supply. Let me explain -- Good rechargable batteries are exspensive and take a long time to recharge and don't last very long. They are also heavy.

The T-Max trucks are gas/nitro powered and make alot of power for thier weight plus the only eletric you need is for steering and a glow stick for starting. Cheep compaired to drive motor batteries.

First investment will be close to the same, probly a little more for gas powered, but over all running cost should be less for the gas powered in the end.
