Yes. Yes, it is. And no photoshopping was involved.
(Ironically, the news crews were using lots of Ryder trucks, but they tried to keep them low key.)

I second that wow.
I assume this photo was taken a few days after the event?

The picture was taken about a month after the bombing. Actually, it was taken on the Saturday before the demolition folks brought what was left of the building down.
The Ryder truck was blind luck. As I said, the news crews were using lots of Ryder trucks but they were doing a very good job of keeping them behind the scenes. They would park them in nearby alleys that didn't have a line of sight to the Murrah building so that people COULDN'T take pics like the one I have.
But one just happened to be driving to/from the location that day. If that picture had been taken 10 seconds earlier or later, there wouldn't have been a Ryder truck in it.

What about a clear violation of the number one rule of gun safety behind him?
1. ALWAYS keep the gun pointed in a safe direction.
This is the primary rule of gun safety. A safe direction means that the gun is pointed so that even if it were to go off it would not cause injury or damage. The key to this rule is to control where the muzzle or front end of the barrel is pointed at all times. Common sense dictates the safest direction, depending on different circumstances.

I thought the number one rule was that every firearm is always loaded at any time? Kidding
That shotgun looks like it's pointing about 30 degrees away from Jeepkahn, and the shot would hit the ground before there was much danger, but I'd rather have the shotgun pointing near my foot than other people.
That reminds me, I've never been shooting with anyone else, so I don't know if my muzzle sweeping (or lack thereof) is acceptable.

Muzzle sweeping is most certainly NOT ALLOWED.....
And the shotgun in question was cleared, and with open chamber, and also pointed at the ground, not my @ss as it appears in the photo...
When we have gun days here at the farm, guns are clear until you step to the line, and cleared before leaving the line...
