I'm not sure but i don't think you can measure that in pounds per square inch. You have to be able to hold a static presure, (maintain a constent presure). I allways here about muzzel volicity, but i don't know how to measure that eather.

A 223 round is said to have peak pressur eof 3500psi,got this of mithbusters so cant really be a reliable sorce...But nitrocellulose(the explosive in bulletshells)has an explosive rate of 3200fps,so if some 1 can do some math or something maybe, just maybe they can figure it out.

Is this a commercial shotgun?or one you made(pneumatic, combustion)?and how do you figure these things out? What math equations are used(im not very good with math).

Well, I looked it up - a few minutes with google - and it seems that (depending apon how hot the load is) peak pressures vary from 25,000 psi to 30,000 psi

i read in a gun magazine that the max pressure for a .308 round is 45,000 psi.
