I was playing around with my golfball launcher and was just having fun shooting a cardboard box with towels and junk inside of it, and I was getting ready to shoot my last ball when small ball valve wasn't shut all the way and my brother pushed my barrel , (not on purpose) and my gun went off with my gun filled with 120psi launching a ball at the tree bouncing back and hitting me above my right eye, thank God it didnt hit my eye, I do need to see

I've found it's much safer to have only one person operate a spudgun from filling to firing. I hope now you'll learn to check all your valves (especially the pilot). The last thing we need is a forum member ending up in the news because of an spudgun-related injury/death.

A good reminder, you should always wear good quality safety gear before firing and operating anything ..... potentialy lethal, or in this case, a spudgun.

Good to hear you're ok..

At the risk of stating the obvious, that could easily have taken your eye out.

Others were not so lucky.

I hope you've at least learnt your lesson.

In your case, maybe this is a better idea.

In any case:

Do you know them at family reunions? If so, this might just be a Darwinian thing. Just sayin' ;)

A couple of weeks I suppose, but you're going to have a lovely bruise first...

Remember:

DOLOR TEMPORARIVS - GLORIA AETERNA - CICATRICES VIRGINIBVS PLACENT

Just don't tell them you got it by shooting yourself ;)
