I've been going back to basics and started making some crude weapons just for fun. Here is one of them. It consists of a 1" iron coupling with plugs threaded and welded into each end. One plug has a hole drilled through it, the other is ground to a rough 45 degree point. I tied a couple 4' lengths of thin rope to the plug with the hole in it and threw it like a football. At 25 to 30 feet out, the thing drag-stabilized pretty well and had no problem busting through an old pallet I had sitting around. I'll be trying it on sheet metal or a car door soon.



This one is rather pointless but I'm really focusing on reusable "SHTF" type weapons like slingshots, bows, spears... etc. I figure it might be good to have some stuff like that to fall back on if need be.

Since you've already tied a string to it...



Shouting "ALLAH HU AKBAR!!!" at the point of release will make it fly farther

Inmates use the same method however with a bar of soap inside of a sock

Consider in a SHTF scenario you may not be able to retrieve a thrown weapon

I´d launch it with a big ass hybrid
