I don't even know if anyone here knows this type of stuff, but my dad has a problem with a Suzuki dt4 outboard motor. It'll start fine and can idle, and goes well in low rpm, but won't allow much,if any additional strain, anyone have an idea, he thinks it's about the motor getting too little gas, any help is appreciated

Could be the issue.
Could be something else...

Is the choke still on?
What type of ignition? CDI?
If the timing is off it will act up like that too...
What does the sparkplug look like...is it stained ..white, brown or wet with fuel?

Are the fuel lines clogged up, is the gasfilter clean??
Does it have an automatic ( vacuum-operated) fuelvalve?

Need more info bro.. :D

EXACT same problem with out 70's era 115 evinrude.... got us stranded for a few hours... it will run intermittently but will crap out most of the time when there is a load on the engine... basically its weird.
